You'll enjoy nature's beauty and have fun swimming, hiking, canoeing, tubing, etc. Camping gets you away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Very unhappy with stay, overall, but in another time and situation it might have been good. Not many activities get you closer to nature - and your family - as does camping. It was a short drive to the Cape May-Lewes ferry. There were no rentals available and we don’t use Uber. The park itself is lovely and in a good location, although we could not get into town without a car. On a positive note, the laundry facility and showers were clean and well-maintained. They said when park is full, there is so much draw on the electricity, that the voltage is lower. The resort tried to find another campsite, but all of the ones they tried also had the voltage at too high a level for our surge protector. We tried running our generator, but that bothered the camper next door. Bottom line, we had no power the entire time we were there. Because the park was so empty, their voltage was too high for our home (we have an on-board surge protector.) Although they had the power company come out, there was nothing the power company or the resort could do to reduce the 249-252 voltage in a 50-amp circuit. Good luck to anyone who is planning to stay!!…Īlthough the park was quite empty, and there were many open spaces, they assigned us to park our 40-foot RV in a very crowded space right next to another camper and between trees close to our space. I again contacted the same owner and was told he would look into it. The cleaning standards are just horrible. I went there again last week to check it out and nothing has improved. He assured me that the building was going to be replaced and in the meantime, he would be sure that the restrooms would be cleaned properly. I wrote to the owner and sent all the pictures that I took. The dirt is smeared all over rather than cleaned. The building itself is so old that the corrosion on the toilets, sink and showers is bad enough, but the filth from lack of proper cleaning. I also bought a plastic table cloth in order to step onto the filthy floor. I went to a local store and bought some bleach so I could take a shower. They do not use any kind of bleach and I didn't see any soap. I brought them in and even followed the cleaning ladies in to ask them what they used to clean. After needing to do some cleaning in the restroom myself, I reported to the front desk about how disgusting it was. ![]() Hotels near Stalker II Fishing Charters.Hotels near Tastings and Tours- Cape May.Hotels near Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum.Hotels near Historic Cold Spring Village.Hotels near Cape May National Golf Club.Hotels near Cape Island Theatre Company.Hotels near Cold Spring Presbyterian Church and Cemetery.Hotels near TreeHouse Antiques Of Cape May. ![]()
